Mattie Wore It with Grit

Last night Bill and I watched the original True Grit, which I haven't seen since I was a kid.  The whole movie I struggled to figure out what her jacket reminded me of.

In the last few minutes,  figured it out, and today's outfit was born.

I added a Western-y belt for a little extra grit for this simple and, I must say, incredibly slimming outfit.
